Harley-Davidson Reports Q1 2013 Results

Harley-Davidson reported 15.9%  increase in motorcycle revenue despite selling 9.1% fewer motorcycles over the first quarter of 2013. According to the company’s first quarter 2013 report, Harley-Davidson recorded revenues of $1.15 billion from motorcycle sales, compared to $995.9 million in the same quarter of 2012. At the same time, Harley-Davidson sold 54,254 motorcycles worldwide over the first quarter, down from 59,677 motorcycles in the same period last year.

Harley-Davidson MotorClothes Releases New Jacket And Helmet

Harley-Davidson has teamed with French helmet maker, Shark, to introduce a new modular helmet to the Harley-Davidson MotorClothes collection. Elsewhere, H-D also introduces a three-season riding jacket. See the press releases below for more information.

EICMA 2013: Harley-Davidson Revolution X 750 & 500 First Impressions Video

Bred in America, built in India the new Revolution X platform is meant to be Harley’s new price point model. The two motorcycles feature the new liquid-cooled Revolution X engine, a narrow, agile chassis with a low seat height (26.3 inches), new suspension, a wide handlebar and minimalist styling. Not all markets will get both engine sizes, but the U.S. will. The 500 costs $6700 and the 750 is $7500.
