Harley-Davidson Other description

I bought this Harley Sprint 350 about 3 years ago from a Harley dealership via EBay. I replaced the speedometer, generator brushes, adjusted the valves, adjusted the points, cleaned and tuned the carburetor, and timed the engine. I also replaced the front fork seals with new Harley seals I bought from Lancaster Sprint. (Great Folks!) I went through the wiring harness and got rid of a bunch of butt connectors, and replaced them with solder joints and shrink tubing. The indicator lights for the high beam and charge light were replaced. I'm selling the bike to make room and get funds for another project bike for this winter.

I ride the bike around the neighborhood a few times a year just for kicks, and it has never stranded me.

A new survey conducted by the Consumer Reports National Research Center finds BMW and Harley-Davidson  owners are much more likely to report major problems with their motorcycles than owners of Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycles. The survey, which will appear on the April 2013 issue of Consumer Reports, says one in three BMW owners reported experiencing a major problem with their bikes in the last four years. Harley-Davidson owners were slightly better, with one in four reporting serious issues.

2015 Harley-Davidson CVO and Twin-Cooled Models Certified by CARB

Tue, 19 Aug 2014

The California Air Resource Board has released new certification documents revealing most of Harley-Davidson‘s 2015 line-up. The CARB executive orders, required before a motorcycle is allowed to be sold in California, reveal new CVO versions of the Road Glide Ultra and Street Glide, two low versions of the Electra Glide and more models receiving Harley-Davidson’s Twin-Cooled engine. Introduced last year on the Ultra Limited, CVO Limited and Tri-Glide Ultra trike, the Twin-Cooled engine uses liquid-cooling for the cylinder heads, reducing emissions.

A number of manufacturers have tinkered with various three-wheeled motorcycle applications over the years. Companies like Piaggio, Can-Am, Brudeli and even Harley-Davidson have produced unique trikes with ranging levels of success. The Wesll Corporation is attempting to do one better, literally, as it develops a four-wheeled mechanism that could be applied to many different kinds of bikes.
