Harley-Davidson Other description

1941 Harley Davidson Servi-car model G

It had been sitting in a old shed for years before I got it a while back. When I purchased it the motor was apart. I went thru the motor, lower end has OEM New crank pin W/ rollers. Cylinders are relieved for better performance , with oversize intake valves. The bore is .010" oversize with new OEM pistons. The carb.is 1 1/4" linkert ,and it usually starts 1 kick after a few prime kicks. I have had it up to 55mph.in a short burst. When the motor is broken in 60-70 mph. Would seem reasonable. It runs and drives great, however it does need new rear brake shoes. Front brake works fine.

It has a stock springer front fork w/stock wheel and a friction control on the front end. Front fender has a working fender light .The rear of the front fender is cracked and will need to be repaired. The fender has a few dings, but overall for its age about normal. The headlight is aftermarket but in the box trunk is a cycle ray housing and lens ,also a chain guard and a new hub puller to remove the drums for brake lining.

Box is nice, has good fenders and tail lights. Rear of the box has some dings and a rusty spot at the bottom. Missing splash pan. Shocks for  the box didn't come out until 1942 ,Harley used a strap to load the box springs, Unable to find the straps, it has a ratchet tie down loading the box springs. Stock Harley shocks will fit ,

Overall I would say this machine is 95% OEM

Parts not OEM ...rear bumper. Bumper mount and support.Exh pipe and clamp.1 throttle grip...motor mount bolts.

For a 72 year old motorcycle its in fair condition.,I have a clear Texas title in my name ,has antique tags., and.It runs.. Selling due to my health

Fundraising Harley Prints By 8-year-old MDA Ambassador On Sale

Tue, 10 Sep 2013

MDA Ambassador Reagan Imhoff wanted the artwork she created with Harley-Davidson designer Mathew Hintz to “raise a lot of money for MDA so we can have more scientists to make medicines.” The original drawing of a purple Harley-Davidson Softail Breakout motorcycle brought in $3500 on August 31 at the MDA auction during the 110th Anniversary Celebration. The pair hopes to raise even more with sales of the limited edition, signed prints, available through www.HintzStudios.com. “I’m happy our artwork raised some money, and hope we sell all of the prints!” said Reagan, who has Spinal Muscular Atrophy, a painful neuromuscular disease.
