Harley-Davidson Other description
This is a 1990 FXLR Low Rider Custom (similiar to the Dyna) which was upgraded from it's stock 80ci engine to a Total Performance 121ci power plant less than 2000 miles ago. Along with the engine the clutch was upgraded to a Rivera Pro Clutch and the final belt drive was switched to an O-ring chain to handle the torque. It has a Mikuni 42 carb and Bub Chambermaid two to two exhaust. Like new matching Avon tires on a 21" lace front wheel and 19" solid mag rear which was unique to the FXLR. The rear tire is slightly wider than stock with the better clearance of the chain drive. An oil cooler has been added and the engine has pressure release valves. Other upgrades include petcock, s/s braided or upgraded oil, brake, clutch and throtle cables and hoses. Custom mirrors, plate holder, front turn signals, levers, etc. Custom leather zip off bags from S&S Leathers, TX. New battery. Custom paint on tank, both fenders, and side covers. Original seat leather is in great shape. Note: the horn does not work.
As per Colorado state law the bike was inspected by the Highway Patrol and a new VIN number plate was rivited to the front frame. This assures everyone that the new VIN of the engine is legal with the frame.
The bike runs great - tons of torque and handles fantastic. It sounds awesome. It looks amazing. Title is in hand and I hate to sell it but my health doesn't permit me to ride.

Harley-Davidson and an American Hero
Fri, 07 Dec 2012As motorcyclists, we’re drawn to the freedom two wheels represent; just man, machine and the open road. The feeling rings true today as it did 72 years ago, when Wallace Van Sandt, of Birmingham, Alabama, took delivery of his 1941 Harley-Davidson WLD Special Sport Solo, purchased new in 1940 for $365 (roughly $5800 in today’s money) by his father as a high school graduation gift. The WLD Special Sport Solo was a ringer in its day.
Happy Birthday Elvis!
Fri, 08 Jan 2010Born on January 8th, 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi, Elvis Aaron Presley would have been 75 years ago today if he was still alive today. As a tribute to “The King” of Rock and Roll, the Harley-Davidson Museum has created a special exhibit, expanding on the semi-permanent collection from Elvis that has been on display since the museum was opened in 2008. The bill of sale, insurance, and registration papers for the 1956 Harley-Davidson KH pictured above will be on display along with the motorcycle that was owned by Elvis and the Graceland Museum has loaned some rare photos for the occasion. Along with Cadillac’s, Elvis had a passion for motorcycles but especially loved his Hogs and rode Harley’s in many of his films, including Roustabout (1964), Viva Las Vegas (1964), Clambake (1967) and Stay Away Joe (1968).
