This motorcycle I have been working on and is very close to being finished. Only few simple things to finish they are:
Wire/ debug dash most wires already in place Attach chain guard - re-chrome recommended - just got this in - one that was the correct length was very hard to find. Recommend switching to electronic ignition currently points - dual fire engine not fire up since last summer when it was running good on points. Changed to electronic and unit was faulty so I put points back in for now - not had chance to fire up (kick start only and I have bad ankle) Dash bibb needs to be modified or have new one made (see pictures) Lot of custom made parts that have just came back from chrome plating examples are: Exhaust brackets Turn signal brackets Chain tension-er (Stainless steel) Sissy bar brackets Plate bracket All brackets and calipers for vintage dual disc brakes (mounted but still need to be re-built and hoses) Front end neck has new bearings but still needs dust caps took out crane ignition and put in points have single fire coil and crane and currently dual fire coil and points. As you can see list is short and all parts are top notch or in very good shape for age (most from 70"s) Here is partial list: 75 Super-glide dash and cover 1970 or earlier "The Machine Shop" Goose neck plunger frame - you hardly every see these for Pan heads - only once in a while you see them for Hondas Vintage narrow springer front end in good shape - rockers re-chromed rest original Dual disc brake set up complete (calipers need rebuilding) ReTech rotary drum 4 speed transmission (made in USA case for sure) rest not sure if original Harley gears put in or aftermarket Have not tested this yet but appears to be in good condition. Up-swept fishtail exhaust Have Front fender not mounted as will need modification - most prefer w/o Motor is 103 Cu. in. S&S super stock. I was told it had about 1000 miles and appears to be true braided stainless lines and nice oil pressure gauge Primary drive is Primo-Rivera belt Chain final drive Original oil tank for the Plunger frame custom flat-side gas tanks Please feel free to ask any questions and/or for me to take more pictures I tried to make this as I remembered the Choppers I loved when I was growing up. I need space in my shop so I have low starting bid - what I consider very cheap. If I find time to do finishing touches, I will start higher |

Harley-Davidson Offers “Steel Toe Tour” of York Factory
Thu, 23 Feb 2012Harley-Davidson is adding a new factory tour program offering visitors a personal look at the company’s York production facility. For years, the M has been offering free factory tours of its operations in York, Pa., Kansas City, Mo., Tomahawk, Wis., and Menomonee Falls, Wis., facilities. In 2009, Harley-Davidson introduced a premium tour that takes guests into “employee-only” areas called the “Steel Toe Tour” at its Menomonee Falls location.
Harley-Davidson Reports Q2 2014 Sales Results
Tue, 22 Jul 2014Harley-Davidson reported a net income of $354.2 million over the second quarter of 2014, thanks to a 12.4% increase in sales revenue. Actual motorcycle sales volume stayed about even, however, with unit sales increasing to just 90,218 motorcycles from 90,193 sold in the same quarter last year. Though sales were statistically the same as they were last year, Harley-Davidson generated $1.48 billion in revenue from motorcycle sales alone, up 16.2% from the $1.27 billion reported in the second quarter of 2013.
