This bike cruises down the road with a 1200 cc Evolution engine – an engine with a true Harley-Davidson® soul. New for 2014, the Harley-Davidson® Forty-Eight® model comes with a powerful new braking system and optional anti-lock brakes. Another option is Hard Candy Custom paint, a large metal flake paint finish that recalls the iconic styling of 1970s custom bikes, and offers blazing color showing through a deep, rich finish. Comfortable new ergonomic hand controls are also new for 2014. To help raise the money, a customized Harley-Davidson Street Glide, donated by Laconia H-D, will be raffled off to one lucky winner. If you’re interested you better act fast; only 3,000 tickets will be available and can be purchased for $10 a piece.
Q1 2013 US Motorcycle Sales Results – Sales Down 14.7% from 2011
Wed, 01 May 2013U.S. motorcycle sales were down 14.7% over the first quarter compared to the same period last year, reports the Motorcycle Industry Council. The industry group, which collected data from 20 reporting manufacturers, says American consumers bought 93,375 motorcycles and scooters in the first three months of 2013, down from the 109,425 vehicles purchased in the same period of 2012.
