European-Spec 2014 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Ultra Classic Getting Twin-Cooled Engine

Earlier this week, Harley-Davidson revealed its 2014 lineup including the introduction of new precision cooling Twin-Cooled engines with both liquid- and air-cooling. For the U.S., customers can find the new Twin-Cooled engine technology on the Electra Glide Ultra Limited, CVO Limited and the Tri-Glide, but customers in Europe will also find a Twin-Cooled engine mounted on the Electra Glide Ultra Classic. Easy Rider 40th Anniversary

Peter Fonda, who played Wyatt in the 1969 cult classic, Easy Rider, was in Glendale, CA on Friday to help promote the Blu-Ray release of the film which marks the 40th anniversary.  The movie was scheduled to be shown at the Love Ride event that was canceled this year, instead the film screened at a local Harley-Davidson dealer. One of the film’s main objective was to expose violence and racism in the U.S. in a negative light but instead it seems that it was taken the wrong way with most, glorifying the lifestyle that was portrayed in the film.

Harley-Davidson Reports Q3 2011 Results

As expected, Harley-Davidson reported a net income of $183.6 million over the third quarter ended Sept. 25, 2011, a 106% increase from the $88.8 million reported in the same quarter of 2010. Harley-Davidson reported sales revenue of $1.23 billion, a 13.4% increase from the $1.09 billion reported in the same quarter of 2010.
