2012 Harley-Davidson Seventy-Two and Softail Slim Revealed

As expected, Harley-Davidson pulled the wraps off of two new 2012 models, the ’70s-styled Seventy-Two Sportster (pictured above) and the bobber-styled Softail Slim. Motorcycle.com‘s Tom Roderick attended the launch of the two new 2012 Harley-Davidson models and he’ll have a full report. Pope Francis Blesses Harley-Davidson Riders for 110th Anniversary Celebrations

What do Kid Rock, UFC fighter Frank Mir and Pope Francis have in common? They’re all involved in some way with Harley-Davidson‘s 110th anniversary. Kid Rock is headlining the big bash on Labor Day weekend while Mir is on the card for UFC 164 in Milwaukee that same weekend as part of the extended 110th anniversary celebrations.

Perhaps the biggest name is aftermarket clutches, Rekluse Motorsports featured two new Harley-Davidson clutch systems at the American International Motorcycle Expo. The Rekluse Torq Drive auto clutch system is designed to increase torque capacity by 17% to the general clutch system. This is a very simple system and no modifications are needed to install the auto clutch.
