Harley-Davidson Other description
2013 Harley-Davidson XL1200X Sportster Forty-Eight, HARLEY DAVIDSON XL1200X DEALER CUSTOMIZED! - With fat old school tires and steel peanut tank, this low-slung urban brawler is ready to rip through any scene. It’s a 2013 Harley-Davidson Sportster Forty-Eight model XL1200X dealer radicalized version of the garage custom motorcycles in the Harley Dark Custom line. This bike motors down the road with a 1200cc Evo engine – an engine with a true Harley-Davidson soul. With its custom painted peanut tank that first appeared on Harley-Davidson back in 1948 (its name origin), knee pads, low front and rear suspension, braced front forks, chopped rear fender, bar-end signals and rounded mirrors this is a serious custom ride. An EFI tuner has been added along with custom exhaust and retro-style air cleaner. This is a rolling classic custom with attitude that recalls the iconic styling of ‘70s custom bikes.

Donation of Photos and Memorabilia to Harley-Davidson Museum Reveal Glimpse of Early Days at Harley
Thu, 22 Mar 2012Harley-Davidson Museum today posted on its Facebook page a selection of photos it received as part of collection of images and memorabilia donated by a former Harley employee. According to the Facebook post former H-D employee Bob Jameson donated “ two scrapbooks, numerous photographs, news clippings and other company related materials” for the museum’s collection. Jameson, following in his father’s footsteps, worked for The Motor Company, and in 1960 helped develop a motorcycle suited for use in the Vietnam war.
Harley-Davidson Helps Beat Winter Blues
Mon, 02 Feb 2009Feeling trapped within the crippling grasp of winter? The Harley-Davidson Museum is helping to warm things up with Winter Chillabration, running now until the end of February. One of the many highlights is the giant XR1200 Harley-Davidson Sportster that has been hand-carved from ice and snow by the USA Snow Sculpting Team, on the corner of 5th and Canal Streets.
Happy Birthday Elvis!
Fri, 08 Jan 2010Born on January 8th, 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi, Elvis Aaron Presley would have been 75 years ago today if he was still alive today. As a tribute to “The King” of Rock and Roll, the Harley-Davidson Museum has created a special exhibit, expanding on the semi-permanent collection from Elvis that has been on display since the museum was opened in 2008. The bill of sale, insurance, and registration papers for the 1956 Harley-Davidson KH pictured above will be on display along with the motorcycle that was owned by Elvis and the Graceland Museum has loaned some rare photos for the occasion. Along with Cadillac’s, Elvis had a passion for motorcycles but especially loved his Hogs and rode Harley’s in many of his films, including Roustabout (1964), Viva Las Vegas (1964), Clambake (1967) and Stay Away Joe (1968).
