Harley-Davidson Other description

This is a custom garage built chopper. I built this in mind to make it look like something that was built by a backyard chopper builder from the 60\'s. I didn\'t make it fancy in any way, I made it the way I wanted it to look, which is different. Its got a few dings in the headlamp, which I think gives it character. It is bare metal except for the gas tank, which came off of an old 71 Harley I had. The paint is wearing away on it, so it fits the rest of the bike. The frame was made by Led Sled Customs with an 8\" down tube stretch, 5\" backbone stretch, and a 30 degree rake. The springer front end was made by three Guyz Customs, which I have to say they did an extremely nice job of machine work and welding. The oil tank and a few other parts are Led Sled, and a lot of the smaller parts and modifications were done by myself. The engine is a 2001 Harley Sportster 1200cc. I got the engine from a wrecked bike, but the engine didn\'t get any damage other than a little road rash on the covers. It runs very well, and with the S&S Super E shorty carb it starts right up. The springer front end has a little bit of a hop around 60 mph, which I think is just the nature of the beast. If you go over or under speed it goes away. This is built as simple as I could get it. It only has a foot pedal break but splits to the front and rear. two wires to the headlamp, two to the tail light and five from the engine ignition harness, three circuit breakers and that\'s it for wiring. No turn signals, no horn or any of that junk. Another thing that\'s different is the jockey style hand shifter. It takes a little getting pre-owned to, but once you figure it out its fun to ride, and it gets a ton of attention on the street. Im guessing it has around 1000 mis on it since I got it done. I have no idea how many miles are on the engine itself. The only reason I\'m letting this bike go is because its time to buy a house, and could use a little extra $$. It has a clear title as \"assembled chopper\" I have a lot of images, if interested send me a message and I can email them to you.

Church of MO: 2012 Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide Custom Review

Sun, 30 Oct 2022

Someone’s not done bitchin’ in the kitchen ’bout Dyna; when H-D dropped the twin-shock classic after 2017, there was more than a little wailing and gnashing of gears. The first Dyna rolled out in 1991 in the form of the FXDB Sturgis, which I think is the one I rode to Sturgis. Ten years ago, Pete and Fonzie rode the FXDC Super Glide.

Tsunami-Tossed Harley-Davidson from Japan Washes Up in Canada

Mon, 30 Apr 2012

A shipping container holding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle with Japanese plates was discovered on a beach in British Columbia, Canada. The container, which appears to be the cargo area of a box truck, is believed to be one of the first notable pieces of debris set adrift by the 2011 Japanese tsunami to land in North America. Beachcomber Peter Mark discovered the containerwhile riding his ATV along an isolated beach on Graham Island, an island south of the Alaskan Panhandle.
