This bike cruises down the road with a 1200 cc Evolution engine – an engine with a true Harley-Davidson soul. The Forty-Eight also has an authentic peanut tank which first appeared on Harley-Davidson back in 1948 (its name origin) and has been a defining Sportster feature ever since. The front end of the bike looks beefy with its fat MT90 tire. The Harley Sportster Forty-Eight look is enhanced with the lowered front and rear suspension. Add a low seat height, and you have a serious looking motorcycle with an approachable riding stance. Fri, 09 Aug 2013For sale on Ebay right now are two original Harley-Davidson Sportsters ridden by legendary stuntman Evel Knievel in the film “Viva Knievel!“ Click here to see the Ebay listing, which ends on Monday, August 12. The first is the “Flying Eagle” Strato-Cycle, which is one of two used in the movie. The bike is complete with full documentation including original sales invoice from Harley-Davidson in 1977, which certified (with matching VIN numbers) and specifies that it was used in the Viva Knievel movie.
2013 Harley-Davidson Models Revealed in CARB Documents

While this is a fairly lengthy list of models, it may not be complete as Harley-Davidson sometimes saves a couple of new model announcements for later in the year. Most of the models revealed are returning models but there are a couple of omissions as well as several additions, including new anniversary models celebrating Harley-Davidson’s upcoming 110th anniversary.
