2011 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Classic FLHTC, This 2011 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide Classic has only 6,859 miles on it. It has stock running gear but does have a few upgrades to make it a better "coast to coast" Touring Harley. Cruise Control is an option for the 2011 FLHTC model and this bike has it. My favorite option is A.B.S. This has been legislated to be mandatory standard equipment in Europe in 2015 or 2016 and is an important safety feature on any Touring motorcycle. A fob operated Security System has also been installed by the factory. Another "almost" necessity in today's society. Smooth Rim wire wheels are another factory option that was checked off before it hit the showroom floor. As I said, this is a nicely equipped Electra Glide Classic. Add on a chromed luggage rack, Harley-Davidson hand grips, shifter pegs and brake pedal and the bike is complete. Take a test ride on this Harley. Bob Probert’s Last Ride [video]
Wed, 14 Jul 2010The former NHL Detroit Red Wing and Chicago Blackhawks tough guy, Bob Probert, passed away on Monday, July 5, 2010 after suffering chest pains while boating with his family. Probert was arguably the all time greatest NHL fighter but also had great skills, leadership qualities and a big heart. He was taken to his final destination on a Harley-Davidson sidecar before about 1,000 mourners. Probert was 45 years old on his passing, he leaves behind his wife Dani, son Jack and two daughters, Brogan and Tierney. A news clip and some Probert highlights after the jump.
Shelved Harley-Davidson Penster Tilting Trike Prototypes Revealed
Thu, 04 Aug 2011The Harley-Davidson Museum has pulled the covers off discarded prototypes of a leaning three-wheeled motorcycle developed by The Motor Company. Harley-Davidson commissioned automobile hot rodding legend John Buttera to build the original prototype (pictured above) in 1998. Codenamed the “Penster”, the Trike looks like it could have been an earlier version of the Can-Am Spyder, but it had a tilting front end similar to the Piaggio MP3.
Harley-Davidson Raises $160,000 for USO
Thu, 09 Feb 2012Harley-Davidson helped raise $160,000 for care packages to overseas troops through the United Service Organizations. The Motor Company challenged its dealers and over 200 chapters of the Harley Owners Group to raise over $500 each from Nov. 1 to Dec.
