Harley-Davidson Other description
2009 Harley-Davidson 883 Low XL883L, Featuring low profile ergonomics with a seat height of just 25.3 inches, the Sportster 883 Low offers an exciting combination of precise handling and stunning style, including a new front fender that hugs the silver cast aluminum wheel. The 883 Low inspires confident riding for those who appreciate a lighter, nimble motorcycle with signature Evolution V-Twin performance. The evolution of the Harley-Davidson hot rod continues for 2009, as most Sportster models roll into the new year on retuned suspension. Five Sportster models retain the raw, soulful styling that represents the uninhibited essence of motorcycling. Responsive handling, the flat torque delivery and distinctive sound of an American V-Twin engine, and classic styling cues make Harley-Davidson Sportster a motorcycle that just keeps getting better. When it debuted in 1957, the original Sportster projected a tough and rebellious attitude that was born on the gritty dirt tracks and drag strips of that era. That spirit lingers in every facet of this bike. Looks like a 883N with custom paint but is an 883L that has not had anything left untouched. Sportster models are powered by the Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI) XL Evolution V-Twin powertrain, rubber-mounted in the frame to reduce vibration and tuned to deliver a flat torque curve for responsive performance. Among the most-affordable Harley-Davidson models, Sportster motorcycles offer a low, comfortable seat, smooth clutch effort, and a durable carbon fiber reinforced final drive belt.

These riders and fans added extra horsepower to that promise by raising more than $1 million for organizations that support and empower women affected by breast cancer through the purchase of Harley-Davidson Genuine MotorClothes Pink Label Collection apparel and merchandise. “The brave and courageous women who have shared with us stories of battling breast cancer are the inspiration for the Pink Label Collection,” said Karen Davidson (right), Creative Director of General Merchandise and granddaughter of a Harley-Davidson Motor Company founder.
Off-Road Motorcycle and Free-Ride Bicycle Compared
Thu, 11 Dec 2008What if anything do bicycles and motorcycles have in common? Besides the whole two-wheel thing, it isn’t outright apparent that these two “handle-barred beasts” share more than ancient ancestry. Modern Off-road motorcycle and Free-ride bicycle designs side-by-side illustrate how much technology the two have in common.
Harley-Davidson Reports Q3 2012 Results
Tue, 23 Oct 2012Harley-Davidson reported a profit of $134.0 million dollars over the third quarter of 2012. That represents a 27% decrease from the net profit of $183.6 million reported over the same quarter of 2011, but the drop was an expected result from a planned decrease in third quarter shipments as Harley-Davidson adopts an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) manufacturing system at its York, Pa., factory.
