Harley Davidson Sportster 1200R At time of production this model was called Roadster, new models of this bike is now called SuperLow. Located in Austin, Tx. Motorcycle is very clean and has no mechanical issues whatsoever. Clean, Blue Texas title in my name. Tags are valid until 03/14. Tires have good tread and are in excellent condition...no cracks or dry-rot. Vance and Hines HotShotz exhaust with Hi-Flow intake installed and calibrated at a local HD dealership. Chrome forward controls. HD Touring windshield and Oil Cooler for those long rides. Has approx 4600 miles. Parked in garage and I try to avoid riding in the rain, whenever I can help it. Harley-Davidson Museum’s Custom Bike Show Weekend on Labor Day
Fri, 08 Aug 2014Labor Day weekend 2014, the place for Harley-Davidson fans to be is at the Harley-Davidson Museum. Starting Thursday, August 28 at 5:00 PM, the biggest bike night of the riding season kicks off the event-filled weekend. The holiday gathering will also include two custom bike shows, a women’s ride, displays of the 2015 Harley-Davidson Models, and the last chance to see the H-D Museum’s summer show entitled The American Road.
Harley-Davidson World Ride Tops 10 Million Miles; Eclipses 2012 Total by 28 Percent
Mon, 01 Jul 2013Motorcycle riders from around the world enthusiastically joined members of the Harley Owners Group (HOG) on June 23 and 24 to shatter last year’s record mileage total for the Harley-Davidson World Ride by collectively logging more than 10 million miles, a 28 percent increase over the 2012 total. Launched in 2008 as HOG’s Million Mile Monday, the annual event was expanded into the two-day Harley-Davidson World Ride in 2012 to give more riders worldwide an opportunity to participate. In 2012, participants logged 7,799,140 miles, but this year as riders celebrated the 110th Anniversary of Harley-Davidson Motor Company and the 30th Anniversary of HOG that culminates this Labor Day weekend in Milwaukee, they blitzed that record by more than 25 percent, tallying an official total of 10,018,231 miles.
