Harley-Davidson Other description

2008 Harley-Davidson FLHTCU Ultra Classic Electra Glide, 2008 ULTRA CLASSIC ELECTRA GLIDE - ONLY 105 YEARS OF HARLEY-DAVIDSON COULD TAKE IT THIS FAR. The top of the line, all wrapped up in stunning new Anniversary style. Like every Touring model, the Ultra Classic gets the most out of a new longer-ranging six-gallon tank, with added miles of comfort in the seat plus new Brembo brakes and our optional anti-lock (ABS) technology. Choose the Anniversary Ultra Classic and ABS comes standard. The Touring ride is smoother than ever for 2008, thanks to a new rear Isolated Drive System (IDS). It improves ride quality by reducing drive line noise. Ultra Classic riders get even more comfort with a full fairing and vented lowers, plus new fairing-mounted adjustable wind deflectors. There is a King Tour Pak and GTX-nylon saddlebags. Cruise control. Harman/Kardon Advanced Audio System and CB/Intercom. And making its own sweet music, a chromed six-speed Twin Cam 96 engine, proudly exposed for all the world to admire. LATELY, AT SIMI VALLEY HARLEY-DAVIDSON, WE HAVE BEEN SELLING PRE-OWNED MOTORCYCLES AT SUCH A RAPID PACE, IT IS HARD TO GET ALL THE BIKES ON OUR WEBSITE BEFORE THEY ARE PUT OUT ON OUR SALESFLOOR, AND QUITE OFTEN, MANY GET SOLD BEFORE WE HAVE AN OPPROTUNITY TO POST THEM ONLINE. Survey Says Harley-Davidson and BMW Motorcycles Less Reliable Than Japanese – But Owners Don’t Care

Tue, 26 Mar 2013

A new survey conducted by the Consumer Reports National Research Center finds BMW and Harley-Davidson  owners are much more likely to report major problems with their motorcycles than owners of Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycles. The survey, which will appear on the April 2013 issue of Consumer Reports, says one in three BMW owners reported experiencing a major problem with their bikes in the last four years. Harley-Davidson owners were slightly better, with one in four reporting serious issues.

Zero Motorcycles Launches Dealer Network

Tue, 12 Jul 2011

Zero Motorcycles announced a new network of eight dealerships as the electric motorcycle company begins the transition from an online-based sales model to a traditional showroom sales model. Until now, Zero conducts its sales over the Internet with the help of a system of Independent Representatives around the country who use a handful of demo models instead of actual inventory to showcase the brand. As both demand and production have increased, Zero is ready to adopt a new dealer-based model.

Shelved Harley-Davidson Penster Tilting Trike Prototypes Revealed

Thu, 04 Aug 2011

The Harley-Davidson Museum has pulled the covers off discarded prototypes of a leaning three-wheeled motorcycle developed by The Motor Company. Harley-Davidson commissioned automobile hot rodding legend John Buttera to build the original prototype (pictured above) in 1998. Codenamed the “Penster”, the Trike looks like it could have been an earlier version of the Can-Am Spyder, but it had a tilting front end similar to the Piaggio MP3.
