Cast wheels wrapped with 160mm rear rubber. - SIMPLE, RAW-BONED STYLE IN A NIMBLE TOSS-ME-A-LONG-SERPENTINE-STRETCH-OF-ASPHALT FRAME. Wanted: People possessing a maniacal devotion to two-fist navigation. We built our most generously priced Big Twin to be ridden long and often. Simple, raw-boned style in a nimble toss-me-a-long-serpentine-stretch-of-asphalt frame. Deep within the long and low custom styling lives 96 cubic inches of silver powder-coated volcanic V-twin. Fully loaded with six factory-fresh gears. Some view the Super Glide as a starting point for their own custom creation. Others revel in its simplicity. How you see it is up to you. Shelved Harley-Davidson Penster Tilting Trike Prototypes Revealed
Thu, 04 Aug 2011The Harley-Davidson Museum has pulled the covers off discarded prototypes of a leaning three-wheeled motorcycle developed by The Motor Company. Harley-Davidson commissioned automobile hot rodding legend John Buttera to build the original prototype (pictured above) in 1998. Codenamed the “Penster”, the Trike looks like it could have been an earlier version of the Can-Am Spyder, but it had a tilting front end similar to the Piaggio MP3.
