Harley-Davidson Other description

2006 Harley-Davidson FXSTS/FXSTSI Springer Softail, Rare bike thats all stock and low miles. Old school style with modern amenities. - In the saddle of a Harley-Davidson Softail, no road is ever lonely. Sunlight breaks through treetops to dance on chromed steel. The wind offers its constant stream of praise. And the world unfolds before you with open arms. Maybe it’s because nothing else on the road compares with the timeless hardtail styling ... and nothing else feels like a Twin Cam 88B power mill rigid-mounted to the frame. Counterbalancing takes care of all but the good vibrations. You and the motorcycle become one, united by an unbreakable bond. Then you feel the hidden rear suspension smooth out the ride with a full 4" of travel. There’s no denying you’re in the saddle of a rolling masterpiece. This year, the Softail family of custom motorcycles welcomes its latest member. We invite you to turn the page and take a gander at the clean lines of the new Heritage Softail. Additionally, all new bobtail models get a shot of adrenaline in the hindquarters — a brawny, road-hugging 200mm tire under a new wider fender. More rubber to stick to the pavement. More style to keep the eyes glued. There’s no mistaking what this one’s all about. A skinny tire on a Springer front end. The Springer Softail. It’s a perfect balance of style and engineering. And believe us when we tell you it’s as fun to ride as it is to look at. This year, the biggest news is at the opposite end of the leading-link suspension. Beneath a new, widened bobtail fender sits a street-hungry 200mm tire that’s impossible to miss. There’s also a Badlander seat, low-rise bar and wheel-to-wheel chrome. Plenty of looks with an equal serving of performance. You get a powerful, rigid-mounted, counterbalanced Twin Cam 88B engine. The rest is up to you and the endless miles of pavement that lie ahead.

Harley-Davidson Reveals Project Livewire

Thu, 19 Jun 2014

Yesterday we published a scoop on what we believed to be a production electric motorcycle by, of all companies, Harley-Davidson, dubbed “Livewire.” Today, H-D officially announced Project LiveWire as the company’s first electric motorcycle. However, it appears as though our speculation about LiveWire going into production was a bit off base. Instead, The Motor Company is continuing with its customer-led product development approach and letting riders decide whether or not LiveWire sees the light of day. Starting next week select consumers across the country will be able to ride and provide feedback on the bike, helping to shape the future of Harley-Davidson’s first-ever electric motorcycle. While not for sale, Project LiveWire is specifically designed for the purpose of getting insight into rider expectations of an electric Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
