Distinguishing features include the lowered rear suspension, the leather-covered hard saddlebags with hidden latch release, the smaller rear turn signals and clean front fender shared with the Street Glide, the beautiful vintage-look speedometer face, and the distinctive tank dash, tank emblems, and rear fender emblem. Upgrades to this one include custom blue accents on the paint, all chrome front end, apehangers with internal wiring, chrome switch housings, new grips, quick-detach windshield, custom-stitched Corbin Seat with built-in backrest that can be mounted in either or neither position, and great-sounding Rinehart Slip-on Exhaust. EFI 88 cubic-inch V-twin,5-spd transmission, chrome transmission shroud, length-adjustable highway pegs, chrome visor headlight trim ring, lay-down license plate, upgraded mirrors, stainless steel braided cables, chrome/cast slotted wheels, triple disc brakes, and air-adjustable rear suspension. This is a great-looking Road King.

While at the time, most of the attention was on President Barack Obama, motorcycle enthusiasts would have surely noticed the one-of-a-kind 2009 Harley-Davidson Police concept Tri-Glide Ultra Classic which led the inauguration parade to the White House on January 20th. Lieutenant Scott Fear, Commander of the U.S. Park Police Motor Unit, led a dozen side car-equipped Electra Glides in a formation riding the heavily modified Trike, which was sourced by Harley-Davidson of Frederick.
