Harley-Davidson Other description

2004 Harley-Davidson FLSTC/FLSTCI Heritage Softail Classic, Call Mario for more details at 281-295-1000 - You wouldn’t be surprised to unearth a beauty like the Heritage Softail Classic under a dusty cloth in Grandpa’s barn. With studded leather bags, big fenders, giant chrome headlight and passing lamps. For the rider who dreams of classic style, there could be nothing better. But those seeking a modern-day machine will also find this an ideal ride. See the Twin Cam 88B engine for evidence. It’s eighty-eight cubic inches of refined internal combustion. We rigid-mounted it, but two ingenious counterbalancers cancel out all but the good vibrations. Choose it with carb or EFI. There’s a hidden rear suspension. Wire-laced wheels inside blackwall tires. And a low seat height. So no matter what kind of bike you like, it’s easy to swing a leg over this one. Availability of colors may vary from dealer to dealer, and is subject to change without notice. Pearl: additional $240 Two-tone: additional $585

Motorcycle Ride for Diabetes

Fri, 23 Jan 2009

Photograph by: Roy Antal, Leader-Post By and large, motorcyclists are some of the most generous citizens in the world. Riding events all over the world bring in untold millions of dollars for numerous worthy charities. Keeping with this theme, one hardy Canadian rider is braving the Great White North’s frigid winter temperatures by riding his Harley coast to coast to raise awareness for diabetes, a disease that has seen a rapid explosion of new afflictions.

Three-Year-Old Motorcycle Prodigy?

Tue, 18 Aug 2009

Even though Tiger woods started paying golf at age two, this story of a three-year-old boy from New Delhi, India is probably just as impressive, maybe more.  Azeem Khan, photographed on the Royal Enfield Bullet above, has been granted a special license by judges in India allowing him to ride his motorcycle on side roads but is not allowed out on the main roads by himself. Khan’s father had to customize the bike so that the young boy could reach the controls and prove that he could handle the motorcycle on his own. I used to sit him on my bike and he would always grab at the controls.

Louisiana Bill Updates Maximum Handlebar Height Legislation

Thu, 17 May 2012

Louisiana state lawmakers have approved a bill that would change the maximum height of motorcycle handlebars. Current state law restricts handlebar height to no more than 15 inches above the seat, a somewhat arbitrary level, but a common choice with 17 other states. The House has voted 87-0 in favor of Senate Bill 582 to change the maximum height to the rider’s shoulder level, as measured while sitting on the seat.
