Owner of Tsunami-Tossed Harley-Davidson Found in Japan

Harley-Davidson representatives in Japan have identified the owner of the motorcycle lost in last year’s tsunami but later found on a remote beach in Canada. The 29-year-old owner, Ikuo Yokoyama, lives in Yamamoto, Japan, in Miyagi Prefecture, the region hardest hit by the 2011 Japanese earthquake and tsunami. Yokoyama survived the disaster but lost three family members and is still living in temporary accommodations.

The Hydra-Glide name celebrates its 75th anniversary, dating back to the first hydraulic fork that was equipped to a Harley-Davidson, replacing the springer front end in 1949, while the “slash” fuel tank design, emblem, classic round air filter cover, two-toned windshield, seat, and cases, are all nods to the 1956 FLH. Harley-Davidson Invites Fan On Red Carpet At Captain America Premiere

Harley-Davidson and Marvel surprised fans at the premiere of Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier in Hollywood, by inviting them onto the red carpet after it closed. Fans at the event were spontaneously selected to walk and experience the official red carpet and to check out a brand new Street 750 motorcycle along with the stars of the film, who autographed the bike for charity. The Winter Soldier star Chris Evans signs a new Harley-Davidson Street 750 at the premiere in Hollywood, CA.  Following the premiere, Harley-Davidson will donate the bike to Concord Youth Theatre. In its continued partnership with Marvel Comics, Harley-Davidson had six motorcycles at the premiere along the red carpet, where fans took pictures and interacted with actor and musician, Tyler Posey, the official Harley-Davidson commentator and host.
