2003 Harley-Davidson Heritage Softail CLASSIC, 12,950 miles. This bike has been kept in the garage & never has seen rain. This bike has been well cared for. I am the original owner. Many extras: Screaming Eagle pipes Detachable back rest and saddle bags Brake light kit which uses both turn signals as brake lights Upgraded Floor Boards Custom grips, Lots of Extra Chrome. Fender Rails (Front and Back) Headlight and front running light upgraded visor rings There is one small dent in the front fender, see photo. The fuel gauge sticks sometimes, I dont know if it is from setting a lot as of late. Other than that this motor cycle is in excellent condition. Factory alarm system. Just serviced, have all receipts. New back white-wall tire. I am selling it because I have not been riding it much in the past years. I do take it out occasionally for small runs. 2012 US Motorcycle Sales Results – Industry Reports 2.6% Increase
Tue, 05 Feb 2013The Motorcycle Industry Council reported a 2.6% increase in motorcycle sales in the U.S. market for 2012. According to the industry group’s figures, American consumers purchased 452,386 motorcycles in 2012 compared to 440,899 motorcycles in 2011.
Harley-Davidson Recalls 250,000 Motorcycles for Rear Brake Light Switches
Mon, 24 Oct 2011Harley-Davidson is issuing a recall for 250,757 units from its Touring, CVO Touring and Trike line from model years 2009 – 2012. The rear brake light switch on the models in question may become degraded due to the heat from the exhaust systems. This may affect brake light function and may result in a brake fluid leak.
AMA Honors Zero and Scot Harden with Bessie Stringfield Award
Tue, 04 Mar 2014The American Motorcyclist Association has bestowed a special recognition award to Zero Motorcycles and its Vice President of Marketing, Hall-of-Famer Scot Harden, for their work in attracting new riders and the positive impact they’ve delivered to mainstream media. Harden (pictured above from our recent Zero FX dirt riding review) and Zero were awarded the AMA Bessie Stringfield Award which recognizes individuals who have been instrumental in bringing emerging markets to motorcycling. The award is named after 2002 AMA Hall of Fame inductee Bessie Stringfield, the first African-American woman to ride solo across the United States and a civilian motorcycle dispatch rider for the army in World War II.
