Harley-Davidson Other description
2003 Harley-Davidson FXDWG Dyna Wide Glide, 100th Anniversary FXDWG Dyna Wide Glide As good as a Harley looks, owning one has always been about putting on miles. The Dyna Wide Glide is one great machine for doing that, with its laidback cruising posture and rubber-mounted Twin Cam 88 engine. If you haven't felt how good the miles feel on one, you should try. But be warned, it is habit-forming. The Wide Glide model you see here is done to the nines to celebrate the 100TH. Two-tone Sterling Silver and Vivid Black paint. Seat logo. Gold-trimmed tank cloisonné. And a limited edition 100TH Anniversary sissy bar medallion. It also features repositioned footpegs and a redesigned brake pedal for comfort. Bobtail rear fender. Factory ape hangers. Fat 150mm rear tire. * MSRP may not reflect vehicle shown. See Additional Features for specific color/option pricing.

The feeling rings true today as it did 72 years ago, when Wallace Van Sandt, of Birmingham, Alabama, took delivery of his 1941 Harley-Davidson WLD Special Sport Solo, purchased new in 1940 for $365 (roughly $5800 in today’s money) by his father as a high school graduation gift. The WLD Special Sport Solo was a ringer in its day.

Mon, 07 Dec 2009In late November two motorcycle daredevils from opposite sides of the world were fighting to see who would be the first to backflip a Harley Davidson XR1200 motorcycle. Australia’s Kain Saul reached the Promised Land first when he made a successful jump in Sydney on November 27. Harley-Davidson believes Saul’s jump is the first ever successful backflip for any full size street motorcycle.
