2000 Harley-Davidson XL 1200S Sportster 1200 Sport, Custom Paint, Seat, Exhaust. - Good as a Sportster looks, there’s more to the legend. The original was light-footed and powerful, with no respect for any machine lined up along side it. The XL 1200S never lets you forget that. Just look at the low bars and blacked-out metal. Even better, try the throttle. The engine doesn’t feel like anything off an assembly line. We gave it a complete redesign last year, with higher compression, dual-spark-plug heads, hotter cams and a single-fire ignition. You get a ride to match. Cartridge-type damping on the fork. Gas reservoir shocks in back. Adjustable pre-load, compression and rebound. Triple disc brakes. Sticky performance tires. Can there be a factory hot rod?

Harley-Davidson Recalls 250,000 Motorcycles for Rear Brake Light Switches
Mon, 24 Oct 2011Harley-Davidson is issuing a recall for 250,757 units from its Touring, CVO Touring and Trike line from model years 2009 – 2012. The rear brake light switch on the models in question may become degraded due to the heat from the exhaust systems. This may affect brake light function and may result in a brake fluid leak.
Harley-Davidson Reveals “Twin-Cooled” Engine with Precision Liquid Cooling
Mon, 19 Aug 2013As we gleaned from recently revealed CARB documents, Harley-Davidson has introduced two new liquid cooled engines. The new engines use a combination of air-cooling and precision liquid cooling, similar to what BMW did with its 2013 R1200GS. One version of the engine, dubbed the Twin-Cooled High Output Twin Cam 103 will be used on the 2014 Harley-Davidson Ultra Limited and the Tri-Glide Ultra trike while the CVO Limited will use a 110ci engine known as the Screamin’ Eagle Twin-Cooled Twin Cam 110.
