Harley-Davidson Other description

If you like the look of the 50's but the reliability, saftey and performance of a 2016 motorcycle than this is the perfect bike for you.

This has been a labor of love over the last 3 years and is in as new condition with two small blemishes.  This work of art has been updated with electronic ignition, Accurate Engineering S&S engine, Baker 6 speed transmission, Electric and Kick start, modern disk brakes, quick release Harley Davidson windshield.  Great for cruising around your favorite spots or hit the interstate and ride all day with the big boys at 70 to 80 MPH.  Built and titled on a 1998 Frame.  The bike runs flawlessly and only has just over 3 thousand miles.

This motorcycle is Not an original Panhead Harley from the 50's. This Bike is a custom build, 1 of 812 built by Pan-zer Motorcycle Co.  Pan-zer is a recognized international manufacture and therefor easily insured by all major insurance companies, mine is insured by GEICO.

The Engine is a 90 CI motor built by Accurate Engineering of Ga.  They start with S&S casings that are re-engineered from the inside out using all the updated oiling and balance technology used in todays engines. Accurate Engineering is known as the most reliable builder of modern Panhead motorcycles engines that exist today.  The motor alone cost about 8,700 dollars to build. In addition the price of a baker 6 speed is from 3 to 4 thousand dollars. Note: Bike also comes with rear buddy seat and side bags.

This Panhead motorcycle is a pleasure to ride and a beauty to behold.  It always draws the most attention at bike meets, car shows or just sitting outside of the local pub. Plans change and opportunities present themselves. I am selling this bike at a fraction of what it cost to build.

Harley Declares Women Riders Month

Tue, 10 Feb 2009

Back in July of ’08 Motorcycle.com announced that The Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum and Nationwide Insurance were working together to mark July as Women’s Motorcycle Month in order to honor the contribution made to history by female riders. This May, Harley-Davidson is staging a series of events in order to celebrate women on two wheels by declaring May, “Women Riders Month.” Some of the Harley-Davidson Women Riders Month initiatives will include special rides in New York City and Milwaukee as well as an attempt to grace the pages of the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest number of women motorcycle riders trained in one weekend. Harley-Davidson dealerships will also be hosting women-only Garage Parties, which consist of informal meetings in an unintimidating environment where women can learn about motorcycling.

Harley-Davidson Wire Sculpture

Thu, 12 Nov 2009

Contemporary Artist Derek Kinzett is based out of the U.K. and works with wire to create some stunning sculptures. I cant imagine how long it must have taken to make this Harley-Davidson replica but I am sure he is well compensated.  Kinzett has even been commissioned by Nicolas Cage, hopefully he received his payment before Cage’s IRS bill came in…

Shelved Harley-Davidson Penster Tilting Trike Prototypes Revealed

Thu, 04 Aug 2011

The Harley-Davidson Museum has pulled the covers off discarded prototypes of a leaning three-wheeled motorcycle developed by The Motor Company. Harley-Davidson commissioned automobile hot rodding legend John Buttera to build the original prototype (pictured above) in 1998. Codenamed the “Penster”, the Trike looks like it could have been an earlier version of the Can-Am Spyder, but it had a tilting front end similar to the Piaggio MP3.
