Harley-Davidson Other description
Here's something you don't see, a Road King with a full size, quick-detach tour pack with rack. Great for touring and especially for passenger comfort riding two -up. Very versatile in combination with a two piece Corbin seat. Check out the photos. Three combinations. Full tour pack with backrest for driver, tour pack removed with moveable backrest for passenger seat or solo saddle with or without backrest. The tour pack and rear seat can be removed in just a few minutes. Quick detach windshield.
Lot's of chrome and extras but most notable items are fuel injection, Screamin Eagle Stage 1 EFI Kit, handlebar mounted tachometer, Kuryakyn adjustable passenger rests and a new front tire. This bike has the strong Evolution engine.
Color is violet pearl with patriot red lower trim. Matching violet pearl dash insert. It's a clean good looking machine. All Harley recommended maintenance intervals performed.
Very few minor flaws from normal wear from traveling 50000 miles. Small area of corrosion on lower crash bar.Low fuel light burned out(never repaired it because it's way too bright at night). Small one inch scatch on right side of gas tank. No worries. A brand new painted gas tank in bubble wrap is included. This occurred while touring when a dealer rolled the bike into service for minor maintenance. The handlebar was loose and slipped back scratching the tank with the right handgrip. The dealer took responsibility and replaced the tank.
I have used this bike to tour much of the United States---From Ca. to Maine. New Orleans to Quebec and many trips in between. Gas mileage has usually been between 45 to 53 MPG. Never had a breakdown & left stranded. Pure enjoyment! It's been a great ride. Lucky buyer will be responsible for shipping from Central Il.
I bought this bike with 14000 miles on it and it has been a very nice comfortable ride for touring. Or strip it down and go downtown. If curious and for your reference this bike with some of the accessories Blue Books for $7490. The two pic's on the blue tarp show stock pieces that go with the bike. Seats, mufflers & new gas tank all come with the bike.
Why am I selling this bike?----I am getting older and not as strong as I used to be so will be purchasing a trike.
Thank you for looking and bidding.

Motus Hires Former H-D Test Rider + Video
Wed, 09 Apr 2014Bruce Edmiston was a Harley-Davidson test rider for over 20 years. In that time, he estimates he’s racked up well north of 500,000 miles on a wide variety of motorcycles from many different parts of the world. He retired from Harley-Davidson in 2009, but the prospect of helping Motus develop an all-American sport-tourer was just the opportunity he needed to come out of retirement and utilize his test riding expertise.
Harley-Davdison Museum Opens Tsunami Motorcycle Exhibit
Wed, 24 Oct 2012From Miyagi Prefecture in Japan to Graham Island in British Columbia, Canada, to Milwaukee, Wis., the motorcycle tossed across the Pacific Ocean by the 2011 Japanese tsunami has landed at the Harley-Davidson Museum. The 2004 Harley-Davidson Softail Night Train owned by earthquake and tsunami survivor Ikuo Yokoyama is now on display at the museum as a memorial to those affected by the March 2011 tsunami. The motorcycle will be preserved in the condition it was in when Canadian beachcomber Peter Mark found it inside a cargo box that washed up on Graham Island in May.
