This is a rare legal Harley-Davidson XR-750 frame utilizing engine originally supplied by the factory to JAY SPRINGSTEEN (National Champion). I have a copy of the original factory invoice. The bike is built upon an orig. H-D chrome-moly racing frame and includes the following;: aluminum gas tank, fiber glass seat pan, leather seat with nickel snaps, H-D racing hubs, stainless steel spokes, aluminum Akront flanged rims, V-rated tires, Ceriani 42mm triples and triples, custom tripple clamps, stainless steel Supertrapp exhaust, Performance Machine calipers, clutch lever, front master aster cylinder, Grimeca rear master cylinder, alternator instead of generator, H-D tach & speedo, steering dampener, late model dual plug D-port heads, bigger crankpin and main bearings, moly orange custom paint,Perf Machine discs, kickstart conversion.

Survey Says Harley-Davidson and BMW Motorcycles Less Reliable Than Japanese – But Owners Don’t Care

A new survey conducted by the Consumer Reports National Research Center finds BMW and Harley-Davidson  owners are much more likely to report major problems with their motorcycles than owners of Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha motorcycles. The survey, which will appear on the April 2013 issue of Consumer Reports, says one in three BMW owners reported experiencing a major problem with their bikes in the last four years. Harley-Davidson owners were slightly better, with one in four reporting serious issues.

Harley-Davidson Confirms Project Livewire Will Appear In Avengers Movie

From the “Unless-You’ve-Been-Living-Under-A-Rock” department comes Harley-Davidson’s announcement today at the San Diego Comic-Con, that H-D’s first electric motorcycle, the Livewire, will indeed be used in Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron movie as the ride of choice for Natasha Romanoff (a.k.a. Black Widow) played by Scarlett Johansson, in an epic scene with Captain America in the film. Motorcycle Thefts Down 11.2% in 2010

Motorcycle thefts in the U.S. are down for the fourth consecutive year in 2010,  according to a report from the National Insurance Crime Bureau. There were 49,791 reported motorcycle thefts in 2010, an 11.2% drop from the 56,093 thefts reported in 2009.
