1984 Harley-Davidson Wide Glide , **** Only 2,225 made **** 1984 Harley Davidson Shovelhead FXWG - $6995 This 1984 Harley-Davidson Wide Glide (FXWG) is literally one of the last Shovelhead bikes to roll off the line before Harley switched to the Evo motor this same year. To top it off, this bike has: stroker motor bored .035 over, high performance S&S racing pistons, Rowe Rods, Mustang Seat, Mallory ignition, Belt Drive, Electronic and Kickstart, polished S&S Super E carburetor, newer battery, new stator, custom bars, forward controls, a fresh complete top and bottom motor rebuild done by Ramjet Speed Shop in Cave Creek, AZ with under 1000 miles on it. This bike has been extremely well taken care of. It was originally owned and cared for by a bike builder at 8 Mile Choppers before I bought it, and I'm only the third owner. You can still see yourself in the the 29-year-old factory Harley-Davidson paint. Runs loud and strong. This is the perfect bike for a real Harley enthusiast that wants something different than all the commonplace EVOs and broken-down Shovels that are out there. I have well over $10,500 into it, and have all receipts. The bike was appraised for $10,500 before the motor was rebuilt. I'm asking $6,995. Easy Rider 40th Anniversary
Tue, 27 Oct 2009Peter Fonda, who played Wyatt in the 1969 cult classic, Easy Rider, was in Glendale, CA on Friday to help promote the Blu-Ray release of the film which marks the 40th anniversary. The movie was scheduled to be shown at the Love Ride event that was canceled this year, instead the film screened at a local Harley-Davidson dealer. One of the film’s main objective was to expose violence and racism in the U.S. in a negative light but instead it seems that it was taken the wrong way with most, glorifying the lifestyle that was portrayed in the film.
Ohio Man to be Buried on 1967 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide
Fri, 31 Jan 2014Billie Leo Standley died last weekend from lung cancer, but before he died, the 82-year-old wished for the world to know he was going to ride off to heaven. To accomplish this wish, Standley and his family made arrangements for him to buried in a Plexiglas casket riding his 1967 Harley-Davidson Electra Glide.
