Harley-Davidson Other description
I have for sale my 1978 Harley-Davidson/Aermacchi SX250. I have a clean Florida title in hand for the bike. The bike has matching numbers as seen in the picture (crankcase and chassis). I wanted to do a full restoration on the bike but other projects got in the way. Although I did not get to finish the cosmetic details, I did get to take care of a great deal of the important things. This bike has a freshly rebuilt engine, rebuilt with OEM NOS parts that are very difficult to come by. OEM NOS engine parts include new crank bearings, new crank seals, new crankshaft, new connecting rod, new rod bearing, new wrist pin bearing, new wrist pin and circlips, new piston, new base gasket, new head gasket, and new cylinder. The carburetor also has a new choke valve.
The bike runs and rides (a little rich right now as the new engine is still being broken-in). The gas tank does not have any visible rust (shown in picture) and it also has a new gas cap. In addition to the ignition key, I also have the fork lock key, the Harley-Davidson Service Manual, and a full parts list booklet (as seen in pictures). In addition to the OEM NOS parts used on the engine, I have other OEM NOS parts that I am including with the bike, including some valuable engine parts. As you can see in the pictures, I have the old crankshaft, the old crankshaft bearings, the old connecting rod, the old cylinder, a new OEM NOS piston, a new OEM NOS connecting rod, lower bearing, and crank pin. In addition to those engine parts and also shown in the pictures, I have both rear turn signals, a front turn signal, mirror, front fender, rear fender, an extra oil pump, and a new OEM NOS right side switch. Overall, the bike is not perfect and still needs some work but I have done a fair amount of work on it as described above and was working towards getting it perfect. Bike is sold as-is with no warranties express or implied. Please look at the pictures for overall condition of the bike. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thanks and good luck. |
