First and most important is PATINA. This is not a show bike. It is a 1977 Shovelhead FXE that is ridden. It gets looks everywhere you go. Looks great and sounds great. It has original wear and tare. IF YOU WANT A SHOW BIKE THIS IS NOT FOR YOU. This is the bike I personally ride. It is set up for me the way I like it. Panhead hinged fender with emblem on rear. FLH front fender and rim. Early tank emblems. Solo seat. B carb etc. I have a Super E for it if you want. I have three seats, fenders, original grips, etc that can go with it. The stator, coil, clutch, tires, points, plugs and battery are new last year. Oil cooler and filter set up with new lines. Oil pressure is 40 to 60 lbs. #'s matching with clear title in my name. Bike must be paid for in 7 days. You must contact me within 24 hrs of buying. Free storage is no problem until you pick it up BUT the bike must be paid for first. Harley Declares Women Riders Month
Tue, 10 Feb 2009Back in July of ’08 Motorcycle.com announced that The Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum and Nationwide Insurance were working together to mark July as Women’s Motorcycle Month in order to honor the contribution made to history by female riders. This May, Harley-Davidson is staging a series of events in order to celebrate women on two wheels by declaring May, “Women Riders Month.” Some of the Harley-Davidson Women Riders Month initiatives will include special rides in New York City and Milwaukee as well as an attempt to grace the pages of the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest number of women motorcycle riders trained in one weekend. Harley-Davidson dealerships will also be hosting women-only Garage Parties, which consist of informal meetings in an unintimidating environment where women can learn about motorcycling.
Harley-Davidson Sells Test Track to Chrysler
Fri, 12 Apr 2013Harley-Davidson has sold its 531-acre private test track in Florida to the Chrysler Group for $7 million. The property, located off of Interstate 75 in Naples, Fla., includes six miles of track including a 2.1-mile straightaway and several buildings. The track was originally built for Ford, with construction completed in 1992.
