Harley-Davidson Other description

Vintage 50cc mini bike actual year is unknown led to believe that it's very late 60's or early 70's. It's also believed that this bike was made by Harley Davidson for parades, again not positive of that. Also, this bike may have been used by The Shriners for parades before Evil Knievel jumps the colors would correspond with that theory with the red, white, blue and the stars. If someone would know more about this bike it would be appreciated if they would contact us by email.  Bike is in good running condition there are a few minor rust spots. The bike has adjustable handlebars and has a spring loaded seat for variation of weight also this bike is one of a kind and is actually a beautiful bike if one would want it for parades, private use, or a conversation piece. The bike has a speedometer for speed but not for recording the mileage on this mini bike and there is no title, as mini bikes didn't come with titles in that era. Tires are good, clutch chain has light rust on it, overall, the bike is very sound and in very good shape. If you have any questions please email me and I'll reply to you the best that I can. Anyone would be proud to own this Evil Knievel mini bike. Please look the pictures over very closely and email leapyear1948@outlook.com for any questions. Also, we will crate the bike for shipping but it's the buyer's responsibility to arrange the shipping and fees. Crating this bike will be $75.00

Motorcycle Stirrups – Yes, They Exist!

Wed, 15 Jan 2014

What do you get when a lifelong horse rider and motorcyclist from Nebraska gets inspired to combine his two loves? Why, motorcycle stirrups, of course! The idea came to Devin Santana, proprietor of Nebraska City Iron Works, one day when he was riding his Harley-Davidson down the road and looked down at his feet.

AMA Honors Zero and Scot Harden with Bessie Stringfield Award

Tue, 04 Mar 2014

The American Motorcyclist Association has bestowed a special recognition award to Zero Motorcycles and its Vice President of Marketing, Hall-of-Famer Scot Harden, for their work in attracting new riders and the positive impact they’ve delivered to mainstream media. Harden (pictured above from our recent Zero FX dirt riding review) and Zero were awarded the AMA Bessie Stringfield Award which recognizes individuals who have been instrumental in bringing emerging markets to motorcycling. The award is named after 2002 AMA Hall of Fame inductee Bessie Stringfield, the first African-American woman to ride solo across the United States and a civilian motorcycle dispatch rider for the army in World War II.
