One cool Harley chopper trike, right out of the early '70's. Clear title. Girder springer front end. All new tires, rear disc brakes custom headlight,raked frame,16" ape hangers, 5 gal tank,1973 Ironhead 1,000 cc motor/4 spd trans S&S super B carb, runs good, electric & kick start, foot clutch, right side suicide shift, fish tail exhaust,new battery,powder coated Orange pearl. The BAD: clutch discs are stuck from sitting, other than that she's ready to ride. BIKE IS SOLD AS IS NO WARRENTY / NO REFUNDS. In a time before the economic meltdown, motorcycle sales, especially for Harley-Davidson, were booming. After the collapse, sales have only started to pick up again within the past two years (at nowhere near pre-2008 levels, however).
Harley-Davidson Dealers Top 2012 Pied Piper Prospect Satisfaction Index
Mon, 07 May 2012Harley-Davidson dealerships topped the rankings for the 2012 edition of the Pied Piper Prospect Satisfaction Index, an industry benchmarking study examining how well dealerships treat customers, and turning shoppers into buyers. The Pied Piper PSI rated different manufacturers’ dealerships in a number of categories to produce an overall score. The study was conducted between July 2011 and April 2012 with 1,653 anonymous “mystery shoppers” gathering information at different dealerships across the U.S.
Harley-Davidson Sells Test Track to Chrysler
Fri, 12 Apr 2013Harley-Davidson has sold its 531-acre private test track in Florida to the Chrysler Group for $7 million. The property, located off of Interstate 75 in Naples, Fla., includes six miles of track including a 2.1-mile straightaway and several buildings. The track was originally built for Ford, with construction completed in 1992.
