1969 Harley-Davidson FLH ELECTRA GLIDE SHOVELHEAD, This is simpy the nicest running & riding classic Harley I have ever ridden. 1969 was the last year for the Panhead or Generator bottom Shovelhead. This bike was completely restored in 2010 and has only 6,090 miles since complete. The motor and trans were completely rebuilt. The motor & trans are OEM original Harley and have matching vin#. Original HD Frame. The previous owner built this bike to ride and it is so smooth. It's swingarm frame along with the leather pogo seat rides softer than a new Bagger. The motor pulls strong and runs fantastic. Transmission shift smoothly. This is a very solid bike.Old drum brakes have been upgraded to disc brakes w/ genuine HD banana calipers. Swingarm is chrome as well as brake linkage. Many other extras/upgrades like S&S Super E carburetor, chrome handlebar controls, new windshield, drag pipes, chrome tappets, oil temp gauge, chrome shocks, chrome rotor cover, smooth rear fender, custom rear light bar, chrome chain guard, chrome front fender trim, chrome layback tag bracket, and much more. Mon, 28 Sep 2009Two weeks ago, I took a break from my regular duties gathering news for Motorcycle.com to fly to Germany to cover the 2009 Frankfurt Auto Show for our sister site AutoGuide.com. For two hectic days, AutoGuide editor Colum Wood and I scrambled across the massive 6.2 million square foot Messe Frankfurt trade fair compound, running from press conference to press conference to get the latest on exotic sport cars, futuristic concept models and international unveilings from the automotive world. It was heaven for car lovers, but for me, it meant fighting my way through hordes of photogs, auto-journalists and car show models to get the first photos of four-wheeled goodies from MINI, Ferrari and Lotus.
