1966 FLH Harley Davidson Shovelhead Electra Glide
All matching bike, everything on this bike is 1966, except for a few bolt on items. It's a rider....Everything works!....yes even the electric start. This is a very cool period correct bike. The gentleman I bought it from had it since 1980. (36 years). It starts, runs, shifts, and stops. Motor was rebuilt by Departure bike works in Richmond Va about 5 years ago, bike has sat for awhile. Bike has a lot of factory hard to find parts on it. Look at photos carefully and make you own decision, I am no expert. Belly #s match and vin # matches title. The Rekluse Torq Drive auto clutch system is designed to increase torque capacity by 17% to the general clutch system. Q1 2013 US Motorcycle Sales Results – Sales Down 14.7% from 2011
Wed, 01 May 2013U.S. motorcycle sales were down 14.7% over the first quarter compared to the same period last year, reports the Motorcycle Industry Council. The industry group, which collected data from 20 reporting manufacturers, says American consumers bought 93,375 motorcycles and scooters in the first three months of 2013, down from the 109,425 vehicles purchased in the same period of 2012.
Harley-Davidson Sells Test Track to Chrysler
Fri, 12 Apr 2013Harley-Davidson has sold its 531-acre private test track in Florida to the Chrysler Group for $7 million. The property, located off of Interstate 75 in Naples, Fla., includes six miles of track including a 2.1-mile straightaway and several buildings. The track was originally built for Ford, with construction completed in 1992.
