1966 Harley Davidson Sprint The bike and engine numbers match, The bike has a twelve volt magneto system, and the lights and horn are 12v. It starts easily, and runs good for a 50 year old machine. The transmission shifts well and clutch is good. The previous owner rode this type of bike back in the sixties in South Bay. So he has changed the bike for this type of riding. He saved most of the original parts. The older parts of the wiring and switches need attention, but everything else works well. The speedometer works and I believe the 11,800 is correct. There is a new tachometer but the cable is broken and it is not hooked up now. It had FL antique plates and looks like it was registered it up until 2015. I will try to answer any questions you may have , so please ask. The bike is Listed locally so it may be withdrawn at any time. Shipping is the buyers responsibility. |

Easy Rider 40th Anniversary
Tue, 27 Oct 2009Peter Fonda, who played Wyatt in the 1969 cult classic, Easy Rider, was in Glendale, CA on Friday to help promote the Blu-Ray release of the film which marks the 40th anniversary. The movie was scheduled to be shown at the Love Ride event that was canceled this year, instead the film screened at a local Harley-Davidson dealer. One of the film’s main objective was to expose violence and racism in the U.S. in a negative light but instead it seems that it was taken the wrong way with most, glorifying the lifestyle that was portrayed in the film.
Stephen King to Guest Star on ‘Sons of Anarchy’
Tue, 21 Sep 2010Stephen King will be making a guest appearance on the hit TV show, Sons of Anarchy, later tonight. King will play a character named “Bachman”, which I’m sure was no coincidence since he had published under the pen name “Richard Bachman” for several years. Stephen King is a motorcycle enthusiast and was excited to get a tricked-out, bright red Harley-Davidson Road-Glide to ride for the filming of the episode. See his comments about the production here. The new 2012 Harley-Davidson Seventy-Two is expected to be announced at the company’s winter dealer meeting next month, and it may not be alone. Newly released documents from the CARB reveal the Harley-Davidson Seventy-Two among the company’s 1200cc Sportster offerings alongside the Forty-Eight, 1200 Custom and Nightster.
