Nice Harley Sprint with original paint, complete with no missing parts- I have had this for eight years or so, and have run in 10 MotoGiro events. The bike got a fresh top end about 5000 miles back and has been a strong runner ever since. I also installed a PowerDynamo ignition/alternator last year. With this arrangement the bike idles and runs perfectly, while producing 12 volts of reliable power. This is the model with the more collectable engine and body work. Although Harley sold quite a few of these, it is rare to find one in this condition. It even has the correct Delorto Carburetor
The BAD - Bike has a motor from 1964- I am also including a 1966 engine /transmission unit, (no top end) as well as all parts to replace the original generator, coil and points. I will supply owners and shop manuals as well. If you have the bike shipped I will crate the loose parts, which will need to be shipped separately. I am selling this because my 65 year old knees are not able to kick start these old bikes- I require a deposit of $250 in my paypal account within 48 hours of the end of this auction, with full payment in 7 days. I accept checks, or cash if in person... Not paypal except for deposit. Harley-Davidson Financial Services to Refund $228,000 in Settlement
Thu, 12 Jun 2014Harley-Davidson Financial Services agreed to reimburse more than 600 customers in Massachusetts a total of $228,000 to resolve a dispute over refunding enrollment fees on loans. Customers receiving financing occasionally pay optional enrollment fees for additional special loan terms. If a customer pays off its financing loan ahead of schedule, they may be entitled to a pro-rated refund on those enrollment fees.
Detroit Police Department Restores 1937 Harley-Davidson Knucklehead
Fri, 13 Dec 2013The Detroit Police Department revealed a restored a 1937 Harley-Davidson Knucklehead police bike that was found during the move to its new headquarters. The 76-year-old police motorcycle was found disassembled at the old headquarters after several decades in storage. According to MLive, the police department attempted to restore the motorcycle in 1974 but never got around to completing it.
