This is a 1963 Harley trike that is complete and in good condition. It hasn't been started in a number of years and will need tanks cleaned before it will run. I just had the carb. cleaned. Bike was running good,but smoking when it was parked by the previous owner. Has original metal box. Bike has a dual disc superglide frontend on it, but I have the original adjustable trees. It is setup on a 12 volt system. Needs battery. I made a deal on it and then found out my spouse is losing her job. I have had health issues this year and need to sell it as is. 3spd w/reverse transmission. paint is 25 years old and could use an update. That is a Pegasus and not a Unicorn on the box. Mon, 13 Jan 2014In February, Bohnams auction house in Paris will allow both the Catholic and the Harley faithful to bid on a Harley-Davidson Dyna Super Glide owned by none other than Pope Francis, himself. Given to the Pope last year as part of the Harley-Davidson 110th anniversary celebration, the bike was unlikely to become the Popecycle because of the security required to protect the pontiff. The Pope donated the Dyna to the Roman Catholic charity Caritas Roma but not before signing the tank with “Francesco” at a special ceremony at the Vatican last November.

The feeling rings true today as it did 72 years ago, when Wallace Van Sandt, of Birmingham, Alabama, took delivery of his 1941 Harley-Davidson WLD Special Sport Solo, purchased new in 1940 for $365 (roughly $5800 in today’s money) by his father as a high school graduation gift. The WLD Special Sport Solo was a ringer in its day.
