The only parts that are not original Harley or NOS are the Left engine case, House of Horsepower Paucho Hub covers, Exhaust, chain guard, Scooter Flex Oil lines, Flanders handle bars, Barnett seat and Throttle. and Tires Motor Left case is House of Horsepower, right case is original. 80" flywheels, Hastings pistons with TRW rings. 63-65 oil pump, crane cam, Manley valves and springs, 59 or 1960 heads, freshly rebuilt Linkerd carb with polished insides, Primary Cover, original Peanut style with dimples. Phase III Primary Belt Drive with barnett dry clutches, Close ratio 1st and 3rd gear 4 speed trans. NOS kicker and Ratchet lid. Reynolds chain drive. Engine and trans have less than 5K miles on them. Probably closer to 3K miles. Harley-Davidson‘s Stereotypical Harley campaign became a big part of the company’s advertising efforts in 2012, featuring real Harley-Davidson owners and showcasing the large diversity of its riders. Fighting against preconceptions can be difficult but Harley-Davidson has some numbers to prove its motorcycles are popular with other demographics including young adults, women and minorities.
Terminator 2 Harley-Davidson Is Coming Home
Tue, 04 Feb 2014If you thought Arnold Schwarzenegger’s greatest role was in Terminator, then you should make your way to Milwaukee: The Harley-Davidson Museum has acquired one of the few surviving 1990 Harley-Davidson FatBoy motorcycles used in the filming of Terminator 2: Judgement Day. At the time of filming, the FatBoy was one of Harley-Davidson’s newest models, and the one now in the Museum’s permanent collection was ridden by Arnold Schwarzenegger in the 1991 action classic. “Terminator 2 is an iconic film and a celebrated piece of pop culture history,” said Jim Fricke, Curatorial director of the Harley-Davidson Museum.
Legends Ride Stops Sturgis Traffic
Tue, 06 Aug 2013This is a small sample of the participants in Monday’s annual Legends Ride from Deadwood to Sturgis. Hundreds of bikes thundered through the Black Hills toward Sturgis on Monday afternoon, creating a cacophony not heard in these parts since, well, last year. The sixth annual Legends Ride draws thousands of riders, spectators and celebrities to the historic city of Deadwood, South Dakota each year on a charitable pilgrimage to the Buffalo Chip Campground, and organizers said Monday’s edition was likely the largest ever.
