1949 Harley Davidson Panhead Captain America Tribute Bike. The previous owner had the engine completely rebuilt buy a professional using new STD heads. Cases are stamped original 1949 cases and all the chrome is polished to a mirror finish. The S&S Super E carb was recently cleaned and rejetted so well as timing set for an easier start. Tires have lots of tread and no dry rot. Bike has a new lithium ion battery for lots of spark and was serviced in the spring by a PH.D. Harley Technician. This bike turns heads and drops jaws. It's been a best of show winner multiple times. Bike runs well but has not been ran very much this season. I am only selling this bike due to a spinal injury that has left me unable to ride. I would love to see her ridden and displayed by someone who can appreciate and enjoy her. Bike is for sale locally and I reserve the right to end the auction early if sold. Bike comes with a 1977 NJ title. I am willing to deliver within 50 miles of zip code 08037 for free possibly farther for a nominal fee. There is a reserve of 9k. Keeping with this theme, one hardy Canadian rider is braving the Great White North’s frigid winter temperatures by riding his Harley coast to coast to raise awareness for diabetes, a disease that has seen a rapid explosion of new afflictions.
Harley-Davidson’s 110th Anniversary Party Is Just A Week Away
Fri, 23 Aug 2013Harley-Davidson has been preparing for its 110th anniversary party for the past year, celebrating in 11 countries on six different continents. In the past year, Harley-Davidson employees, dealers and riders have shared thousands of amazing experiences, including a ride through the Tibetan Plateau in China, a parade along the beaches of Sao Paulo and even a Papal blessing. But now the party is coming home to Milwaukee over Labor Day weekend, which promises to be the biggest celebration of them all. 2014 Harley-Davidson CVO Lineup Revealed
Mon, 19 Aug 2013Harley-Davidson revealed four models in its limited-production 2014 Custom Vehicle Operations. The CVO Breakout introduced last year is back for 2014, and this time it is joined by the all-new CVO Softail Deluxe (pictured above) and the CVO Road King and CVO Limited touring models which also received elements of Harley-Davidson’s new Project Rushmore initiative. All four CVO models get exclusive components and paint treatments not available on other Harley-Davidson models, as well as a number of accessories from the company’s catalog.
