I am selling a very nice 1948 Harley Davidson FL Panhead. Very collectable 1st year for the Panhead, last year for the springer fron end. Although some 49's came with springers, this is the last year where all the big twins came with the springer. This is a really great running bike that can be added to your collection or "ride it like you stole it"! Motor numbers are great with matching case numbers. Very original with original Harley leather saddle bags! Very cool bike! If you have any questions,Please call Scooter @. I also have some other Pans, Knuckles and Indians, that I am thinking about selling. Also hard to find NOS, OEM parts. Please no scammers or junk e-mail. Each custom bike in ‘Built for Speed’ reflects a branch of racing; Speedway, Flat Track, Drag Racing, Board Track, Grand Prix, Land Speed Record, and will be displayed beside the racing machines suggesting the origins of each style.

Thu, 10 Jun 2010Canadian publication Cycle Canada had some fun on a photoshoot for its review of the Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight for the July issue. As Pete wrote in our own review, the Harley-Davidson Sportster Forty-Eight has a rugged, bobber-inspired look with its chopped fender, chubby front tire and underslung mirrors. For the guys over at Cycle Canada, the Forty-Eight conjured up a rather odd image: roller derby.
