You are looking at my 1945 WL 45 Solo, I had this build for myself and used the best parts that I had to restore it. This turned out to be the best 45 I have done. I have restored dozens of these and this one runs and shifts like new. It has a stock bore with new HD valves and pistons, the cleanest set of cams, aluminium heads and painted the only color that they had this year. this is a rare bike because it is the first production WL after the war. I was told by an old-timer that this year came in just one color and with no chrome. Yes, my bike does have a chrome piece here and there because I didn't have what i needed in black but i couldn't wait to finish her up so chrome it was. This is built to drive. I made it 12V. The fenders, headlight and tail light are reproduction. The paint job is great however the body shop messed up around where the trim goes on the tank on the left side rear molding. (see photo) Included are the front and rear guards and then windshield. Please look at all the photos, I took them all the way around the bike and made a video of it running so fear not. this is a fabulous motor cycle. please ask any questions that you have. First introduced in the 2002 model year, the V-Rod marked a new era for Harley-Davidson, with the V-Rod’s 1130cc 60-degree V-Twin Revolution engine, the Motor Company’s first production engine with liquid cooling and overhead camshafts. The 2012 Harley-Davidson V-Rod line is equipped with the latest generation 1250cc Revolution engine with dual overhead camshafts, four-valve cylinder heads and fuel injection.
Zero Enters South American Market
Wed, 28 Sep 2011Zero Motorcycles has signed a distribution deal with the Brazilian dealer network Grupo Izzo, bringing its electric motorcycles to first Brazil, and soon across South America. Brazil is one of the world’s fastest growing markets for motorcycles, a market Zero hopes to tap with its new distribution deal. Grupo Izzo is based mainly in Brazil with 11 locations, but has plans to expand into other South American countries.
Louisiana Bill Updates Maximum Handlebar Height Legislation
Thu, 17 May 2012Louisiana state lawmakers have approved a bill that would change the maximum height of motorcycle handlebars. Current state law restricts handlebar height to no more than 15 inches above the seat, a somewhat arbitrary level, but a common choice with 17 other states. The House has voted 87-0 in favor of Senate Bill 582 to change the maximum height to the rider’s shoulder level, as measured while sitting on the seat.
