This is the final year of the VL's this bike is the winner of the Antique Motorcycle Club of America Junior and Senior First, This bike was completely and professionally restored from a complete original bike over a period of several years, the vast majority of the parts are original to the bike. My VL's are not cheap, however I believe I am asking a reasonable price for bikes of this quality. I have a fairly large collection and have come to the time in my life where I have decided that I just want to start slowing down a bit, so over the next couple months I will being listing several additional Harley's, in addition to this bike I have also decided to list a 1930 VL which has also won both Junior and Senior First AMCA awards, so if you are serious this is a rare opportunity to pick up both first and last year of the VL's both of which are very correct. All of the bikes I have listed are a great example of correct restored bikes, all have been judged and all have achieved senior first place awards through AMCA. My bike has always been keep in a climate controlled garage and has been ridden between 50 and 100 miles since a complete restoration. Harley Declares Women Riders Month
Tue, 10 Feb 2009Back in July of ’08 Motorcycle.com announced that The Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum and Nationwide Insurance were working together to mark July as Women’s Motorcycle Month in order to honor the contribution made to history by female riders. This May, Harley-Davidson is staging a series of events in order to celebrate women on two wheels by declaring May, “Women Riders Month.” Some of the Harley-Davidson Women Riders Month initiatives will include special rides in New York City and Milwaukee as well as an attempt to grace the pages of the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest number of women motorcycle riders trained in one weekend. Harley-Davidson dealerships will also be hosting women-only Garage Parties, which consist of informal meetings in an unintimidating environment where women can learn about motorcycling.
