Harley-Davidson Other description

Barn fresh find! Purchased from private estate in Colorado. Purchased with Bill of Sale.

Sheetmetal appears to be repainted to original color scheme. Engine, transmission, wheels and all else seem to be extremely low mileage original. No wear on wheel sprockets or drive chain. See adjustment for rear wheel in photos. Inspections and information from close friends and family indicate that this motorcycle may have less than 300 miles from original.

Has original Harley Davidson matching sidecar.

This Harley Davidson is the VC or Commercial model and it originally came with the sidecar.

Based on inspections by local motorcycle experts, this Harley appears to be a very correct well-preserved motorcycle that shows the original patina of its age. Believe all equipment is Harley original not NOS or reproduction.

Harley sat in prior owners heated shop for 8 years without running and upon adding fresh fluids and battery it started on the third kick and runs excellent.

Harley was intentionally not cleaned or detailed. It is in the same condition as purchased from the estate.

NADA shows the current market value of this motorcycle in excellent condition at $25,985 without the sidecar. Estimate sidecar value to be approximately $6,000.

This is the first time this Harley has ever been offered for sale to the public. Extremely rare and collectible motorcycle.

Motorcycle is being offered in other venues and we reserve the right to sell locally and cancel auction early.

Donation of Photos and Memorabilia to Harley-Davidson Museum Reveal Glimpse of Early Days at Harley

Thu, 22 Mar 2012

Harley-Davidson Museum today posted on its Facebook page a selection of photos it received as part of collection of images and memorabilia donated by a former Harley employee. According to the Facebook post former H-D employee Bob Jameson donated “ two scrapbooks, numerous photographs, news clippings and other company related materials” for the museum’s collection. Jameson, following in his father’s footsteps, worked for The Motor Company, and in 1960 helped develop a motorcycle suited for use in the Vietnam war.

Storm Tears Facade Off Colorado Harley-Davidson Dealership

Tue, 09 Apr 2013

A Harley-Davidson dealership in Pueblo, Colo., suffered some serious damage after heavy winds from a spring storm ripped off the wall of the dealership’s second floor. The 34,000 square-foot Outpost Harley-Davidson dealership on I-25 in Pueblo usually features a high front wall that sticks up above the building’s gable roof (see the “before” picture below). The damage occurred early in the morning and it’s not clear at this point if anyone was around when it happened.
