This Flying Merkel tribute bike is so much fun to ride or just sit with a beverage and buddies and look at. Check your local regulations but the only time I have been stopped was for them to ask how old it was and how much it was worth!
The bike was built by Cory Reed of Reed's Vintage Cycle. We made a blue and orange one. This bike will be shipped as seen in the pictures with a set of IF IT HAS WHEELS handlebars. One of their first sets. I believe that for a rider or display, a patinaed bike like this only becomes more real as it is ridden. If you scrub a rim, simply deflate the tire, get some spray primer and touch it up. It is easy to ride. Simply pedal while holding the clutch, release the clutch and ride on. You will not be disappointed! I will deliver the bike to your carrier of choice in the Roanoke Virginia area. We are members of many Vintage groups such as Hodaka, Penton Owners Group, AHRMA, PVR, etc. We only do business that makes us both smile! Most of my items are scratched, marred, you know-USED. If you want like new parts, go bid on like new parts. If one of my items is like new, I will say so. Brammo Hires Ex-Harley-Davidson Dealer Development Director
Fri, 10 Jun 2011Brammo has hired former Harley-Davidson dealer development director Jim Marcolina to develop the electric motorcycle maker’s North American dealer network. Marcolina was director of dealer development and dealer relations at Harley-Davidson after joining the Motor Company as a district sales manager. Brammo will rely on Marcolina’s experience working with Harley-Davidson’s dealer network to help establish its own fledgling network.
Harley-Davidson Extends UFC Sponsorship; UFC 164 Added to 110th Anniversary Celebrations
Wed, 20 Mar 2013Harley-Davidson has renewed its sponsorship agreement with the Ultimate Fighting Championship. The new agreement will see the mixed martial arts company hold its UFC 164 event Aug. 31 in Milwaukee’s Bradley Center during Harley-Davidson‘s 110th anniversary celebrations over the Labor Day weekend.
2012-2013 Harley-Davidson VRSCDX Night Rod Special Recalled for Loose License Plate Bracket
Thu, 25 Oct 2012Harley-Davidson is issuing a recall on all Night Rod Special models from 2012 and some from 2013 because of a potentially loose license plate bracket. According to documents released by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the mounting screws connecting the VRSDCDX‘s license plate bracket to the tail may loosen, potentially causing the plate to rub against the rear tire. This may cause the plate bracket to rotate as well as damage rear brake lines.
