This Flying Merkel tribute bike is so much fun to ride or just sit with a beverage and buddies and look at. Check your local regulations but the only time I have been stopped was for them to ask how old it was and how much it was worth!
The bike was built by Cory Reed of Reed's Vintage Cycle. We made a blue and orange one. This bike will be shipped as seen in the pictures with a set of IF IT HAS WHEELS handlebars. One of their first sets. I believe that for a rider or display, a patinaed bike like this only becomes more real as it is ridden. If you scrub a rim, simply deflate the tire, get some spray primer and touch it up. It is easy to ride. Simply pedal while holding the clutch, release the clutch and ride on. You will not be disappointed! I will deliver the bike to your carrier of choice in the Roanoke Virginia area. We are members of many Vintage groups such as Hodaka, Penton Owners Group, AHRMA, PVR, etc. We only do business that makes us both smile! Most of my items are scratched, marred, you know-USED. If you want like new parts, go bid on like new parts. If one of my items is like new, I will say so. First introduced in the 2002 model year, the V-Rod marked a new era for Harley-Davidson, with the V-Rod’s 1130cc 60-degree V-Twin Revolution engine, the Motor Company’s first production engine with liquid cooling and overhead camshafts. The 2012 Harley-Davidson V-Rod line is equipped with the latest generation 1250cc Revolution engine with dual overhead camshafts, four-valve cylinder heads and fuel injection.
CARB Reveals 2014 Harley-Davidson Models, Including Some “Cool” Surprises
Fri, 16 Aug 2013The California Air Resource Board has issued executive orders on a number of 2014 Harley-Davidson models, revealing much of the Motor Company’s upcoming product lineup. While most of the models listed are familiar, the documents do reveal some gems including possible signs of the long-rumored new liquid-cooled Harley-Davidson engine. The first and least surprising reveal is the disappearance of the 1584cc Twin Cam 96 engine.
