Let me introduce you to Slingshot. This custom hand built bike is low, lean and fast. Built by Dave Mizur at DeVille Cycles. Everything is detailed so nice, like the leather, the split tank and oil lines. It has disc brakes front and back. With the hard tail grafted on the bike, it sets about 4 3/4 inches off the ground. The bike runs awesome. The tank started out as a 3 gallon mustang style, then split and paneled. Transforming it into a dual gas/oil design, since there is no room for a separate oil tank. The frame is painted House of Kolor Pale Gold with some ghost gold that really sets off the bikes brass. The body is House of Kolor Blue Flake that really pops in the sun. Slingshot took it's class trophy at Daytona 2009 Rat's Hole. There is a big write up on Slingshot in Easyrider magazine April 2011 also in Bikers Life Magazine Italy. Harley-Davidson Confirms Project Livewire Will Appear In Avengers Movie

From the “Unless-You’ve-Been-Living-Under-A-Rock” department comes Harley-Davidson’s announcement today at the San Diego Comic-Con, that H-D’s first electric motorcycle, the Livewire, will indeed be used in Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron movie as the ride of choice for Natasha Romanoff (a.k.a. Black Widow) played by Scarlett Johansson, in an epic scene with Captain America in the film. Of course, if you’ve been following Motorcycle.com for a while you’ll have known this already, as we brought you the scoop about Livewire.

2011 AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR1200 Champion Chris Fillmore

Chris Fillmore of Oxford, Mich., has won the 2011 AMA Pro Vance & Hines XR1200 Championship. Fillmore ended the season on a victorious note, winning the 2011 AMA Pro Road Racing season finale at New Jersey Motorsports Park. The Bruce Rossmeyer/Geico racer finished the season with five wins and eight podium appearances in nine races in the Harley-Davidson XR1200 spec racing series.
