Harley-Davidson FXR description

You are looking at an all original, one owner, low mileage Harley FXLR Lowrider Custom with an 80 cubic inch EVO engine. It was purchased new, has always been well maintained and garage kept. This has been my wife's motorcycle, however, due to multiple knee surgeries, we have to sell it.

When purchased, the dealership installed the factory tachometer and speedometer as pictured. Since then, this bike has seen only 20,049 road miles. It has the original factory black paint, original factory covered seat, Harley passenger backrest and luggage rack, folding rider foot pegs, folding highway foot pegs and matching design handlebar grips. Also included are the original, detachable, soft sided nylon/canvas with leather saddlebags. It has a small windshield installed and a small tool bag on the front forks.

We had new Harley Dunlop tires installed on the original Chrome laced front wheel and solid aluminum rear wheel last season and since have driven less than 100 miles on them. The fuel tank has been drained and flushed. All fuel lines were replaced and the carb was cleaned and tuned. All fluids were drained and replaced, new oil filter, and battery were installed. This bike runs and rides like new!

There is no damage anywhere on this motorcycle, except for a very minor scratches and/or wear marks consistent with the age of the motorcycle.

Pictures are worth a thousand words, so I'll let the pictures do the rest. This fine motorcycle is located in northern California, about 3 hours north of Sacramento. The California registration is current through April 2014. The new owner will have to pick up the bike here or make arrangements for shipping at their expense.

Thank you for looking.  If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.

What am I gonna do with a gun rack?

Wed, 27 Jul 2011

Living in Shoreditch I come across a unique variety of motorcycles on the road; from XS650s, to classic Lambrettas and one completely brown jelly-mould CBR600. My favourite of the regular bikes I see is this Harley-Davidson badged Armstrong MT500. In my head I like to think that the owner operates as an urban vigilante, realistically whoever rides this ex-Army bike is probably an artist and instead of a weapon in the gun holder it's probably art equipment.
