Harley-Davidson FXR description

Rare 1983 Harley Davidson FXRT 1340 Sport Glide 5-speed with 23K original miles in excellent condition.  Original “4 Star” Shovelhead engine with recently rebuilt S&S Super E Carburetor and original enclosed chain drive. Mostly stock with a few mods including 2 into 1 header, custom front fender, fairing lowers, LePera seat, and custom black paint. Handlebar control switches, air filter, fuel and oil lines, plugs, wires, oil, filter, and headlight lens have all been recently replaced.

Paint has some blemishes and scratches but looks good overall; see photos. Tank appears to have been dented and repaired on front left side by previous owner. Left saddlebag latch is broken, right latch is barely hanging on, and the left bag has been repaired. Rear air shocks do not hold air, and front air suspension components have been removed, but old parts are included. Typical shovelhead oil leaks, but nothing unusual, and it doesn't appear to burn oil between changes.

Also includes Mustang seat, back seat/pad, original backrest mount, OEM tour pack & mount, new front & rear rotors, stock windshield, original front fender (scratched and dented), black drag pipes, used forward controls, and factory manual.

This bike is not perfect, but if you want a clean FXRT Shovelhead, you should consider this one. Thanks for looking.

The above Harley-Davidson MT350 has been created in honor of the UK soldiers killed over the last ten years in the Afghanistan conflict. This particular MT350 was previously used by British forces in Afghanistan and will now act as a memorial for the charity Afghan Heroes. The tribute was created by Paul Ferguson and Martin Turner, and now features the name of each fallen serviceman or woman, accompanied by their age and the date they were killed in action.
