Cruiser This bike has a very unique look and is extremely fun to ride. The paint scheme with yellow front fender sunburst tank and red rear fender make it a looker! It has got internally wired chrome apes with coated stainless throttle clutch and brake lines. The chrome spoke rims with 21-inch front add to the look. It has a stock motor with stage 1 kit. The feeling rings true today as it did 72 years ago, when Wallace Van Sandt, of Birmingham, Alabama, took delivery of his 1941 Harley-Davidson WLD Special Sport Solo, purchased new in 1940 for $365 (roughly $5800 in today’s money) by his father as a high school graduation gift. The WLD Special Sport Solo was a ringer in its day.

Fri, 28 May 2010IT'S 35 YEARS since Evel Knievel attempted to jump 13 London buses at Wembley Stadium. Riding a heavy, slow Harley-Davidson XR750, the American daredevil had serious reservations about the jump, admitting the take-off ramp was too short, therefore limiting the bike's speed. But even though the plucky American knew his chances of pulling off the stunt were slim, he was reluctant to disappoint the 80,000-strong Wembley crowd.
