Harley-Davidson Dyna description

Downsizing so I have to get rid of some cars, motorcycles, and guns.  In this case, I have an exceptional Harley-Davidson 2003 FXDL 100th Anniversary Dyna Low Rider for sale.

This is a one owner bike, purchased new at Whitt’s HD in Manassas, VA at Christmas 2003, with less than 3500 actual miles. It has been checked and run monthly during Spring – Fall and winterized/ stored every year.  The bike has been immaculately maintained with all upgrades and services performed by Whitt’s HD. A new battery was installed earlier this year and it has a trickle charger connection.

This bike has a 1450 CC / Twin Cam 88 V-Twin four-stroke, rubber-mounted, carbureted, air-cooled engine producing ~79 ft-lbs of torque at 2900 RPM stock.  This bike is not stock and produced ~105 ft-lbs of torque at 3600 RPM on a dynamometer several years ago.  The intake, jetting, cam, exhaust were tuned to optimize  performance.

This bike weighs ~675 pounds with all the hardware and a full tank of gas, almost five gallons. It handles extremely well with adjustable shocks, set for a 29 inch seat height, and just 3.5 inches of ground clearance. It is ~65 inches in length and fits most trucks/ trailers easily for long hauls.

This 2003 FXDL, 100th Anniversary motorcycle also has the following options/ upgrades:

  • 100th Anniversary 2-Tone Paint (Silver/ Black) and Emblems
  • Powder Coated 1450 CC Engine with all Chrome engine and component covers
  • Screaming Eagle Intake Stage I Kit
  • Screaming Eagle Exhaust Stage II Kit
  • Vance and Hines Long Shot High Performance Headers/ Exhaust
  • HD Alarm System
  • HD Custom Forward Controls, Chrome
  • HD Operator Mini-Floorboards, Chrome
  • HD Passenger Mini-Floorboards, Chrome
  • 100th Anniversary Badlander Seat with Convertible Back Rest, Chrome
  • 100th Anniversary Convertible Back Rest, Chrome Lug Rack, and Pad
  • Two-Up Touring Seat, Custom (Saddleman)
  • 100th Anniversary Saddlebags (Leather w/ Hard-Back)
  • 100th Anniversary Convertible Windshield
  • 100th Anniversary Tool Bag
  • 100th Anniversary Handle-Bar Tree Clamp
  • 100th Anniversary Air Cleaner Cover
  • 100th Anniversary Derby Cover
  • 100th Anniversary Timing Cover
  • 100th Anniversary  2-Tone Helmet (Silver/ Black)
  • HD Storage Cover

Expected mileage would be 34, 000 miles for this model and year, anything less than 20,000 miles is considered low mileage.  This motorcycle is in "Exceptional" vice "Excellent" condition with only 3485 actual miles.  The bike has a “blue book” retail estimate between $9,925 - $11,750 in NOVA according to KBB, NAMA, and NADA.

Thanks for looking and best of luck bidding.

Confirmed: Next Harley-Davidson Sportster Will Use Revolution Max 975 Engine

Thu, 07 Apr 2022

The Nightster 975 has a certain ring to it We are less than a week away from the official reveal of Harley-Davidson‘s next Sportster, but we’ve managed to confirm the new model will use a 975 version of the Revolution Max engine. Harley-Davidson has been slowly revealing details of the new model, first with a teaser video and a number of social media posts. We’ve previously speculated that the new model will use a smaller displacement version of the Sportster S‘ Revolution Max 1250T engine, with clues such as the telescopic fork, twin rear shocks and single front disc hinting at a less performance-oriented focus.

Harley-Davidson World Ride Scheduled for June 22–23

Tue, 06 May 2014

There’s something about sharing in a popular consciousness. Participating in an activity that is also taking place at the same time all over the world adds a special meaning to the event. Begun in 2008 by the Harley Owners Group as Million Mile Monday and renamed and enlarged in 2012 toHarley-Davidson World Ride, this event simply asks all “friends of Milwaukee” to get on their hogs and ride on June 22–23.
