Harley-Davidson Dyna description

2008 DYNA LOW & 1987 FXSTC ....  Age forces sale. It's time to hang up our jackets.  This auction is for both bikes. Not one or the other so please don't ask.  The 2008 Dyna has 4800 miles and my wife is the second owner. Bone stock except for the $400 quick release windshield. Color "Purple Haze" was offered by the factory for a short time as a special color. The bike is as perfect as a used bike can be...The tires are a little dusty and that's about it. All manuals, security system key fobs included.

The other bike is a 1987 Soft Tail Custom, VIN # 1HD1DKL13HY019338.  I am the original owner. The bike has 68,000 miles and runs like a watch. Front forks have 4" over tubes (stock tubes included). It has the tallest SE cam that can be installed without removing the heads, an SE carb and an SE ignition module. Uses no oil and at 55-65 MPH gets almost 60 MPG...No, it's not too lean, no pinging and the plug color reads perfect.  I have installed what was called "European Gearing" (smaller rear sprocket and shorter belt) before H-D made it the stock set up in 1993... 70 MPH at about 2600 RPM instead of almost 2900 RPM. The oil and filter have been changed every 3000 miles since new. All other fluids changed when required. The heads have never been off. I bought the bike new in Corvallis, Oregon in June of 1987. The original sales invoice and owners manual as well as a shop manual are included.  Breaks my heart to sell it but time moves on....

Bikes can be picked up in Boise area and be ridden as far as needed or I can deliver them to a local shipper of your choice..There are NO mechanical issues with either bike! More pictures and details available upon request. The posted pictures are not in order, but I'm sure you can figure it out.......If not, well..............

Barbie and Ken get biker makeover

Mon, 15 Feb 2010

IF YOU'VE a young daughter and you want to keep her away from motorcycles when she's older (or more likely the men that ride them) then look away now.Yes folks, Barbie and Ken are getting serious makeover to keep them up-to-date for 2010 - the new Harley-Davidson endorsed couple now come complete with biker gear, tattoos and even piercings (a Prince Albert, perhaps?). It makes you wonder what Mattel, the company behind the plastic duo, has next in the pipeline. Maybe they'll have a model of Birmingham airport, where Ken can kick the sh*t out of rival bike gang members?

Wesll Quad Prototype

Mon, 09 Feb 2009

A number of manufacturers have tinkered with various three-wheeled motorcycle applications over the years. Companies like Piaggio, Can-Am, Brudeli and even Harley-Davidson have produced unique trikes with ranging levels of success. The Wesll Corporation is attempting to do one better, literally, as it develops a four-wheeled mechanism that could be applied to many different kinds of bikes.

Stephen King to Guest Star on ‘Sons of Anarchy’

Tue, 21 Sep 2010

Stephen King will be making a guest appearance on the hit TV show, Sons of Anarchy, later tonight.  King will play a character named “Bachman”, which I’m sure was no coincidence since he had published under the pen name “Richard Bachman” for several years. Stephen King is a motorcycle enthusiast and was excited to get a tricked-out, bright red Harley-Davidson Road-Glide to ride for the filming of the episode.  See his comments about the production here.
