Harley-Davidson Dyna description

This is a 2006 FXDI Harley Davidson Dyna Super Glide Fire Red Pearl that is in excellent condition. It is garage keep and runs like new. Bike has a couple of scatches on the rear fender and a little dent on the pipe next to the foot peg. Nothing major. I just had the rear tire replaced at the beginning of the season by Harley and all oil changes were done  by Harley. I purchased the bike several years ago used from Barbs Harley in NJ. I am selling the bike because I just purchased a jeep.  I do still ride the bike to work so mileage will change. Asking $7500 or best offer. If you have any question please feel free to ask. Pick up only. Cash or paypal.

Donation of Photos and Memorabilia to Harley-Davidson Museum Reveal Glimpse of Early Days at Harley

Thu, 22 Mar 2012

Harley-Davidson Museum today posted on its Facebook page a selection of photos it received as part of collection of images and memorabilia donated by a former Harley employee. According to the Facebook post former H-D employee Bob Jameson donated “ two scrapbooks, numerous photographs, news clippings and other company related materials” for the museum’s collection. Jameson, following in his father’s footsteps, worked for The Motor Company, and in 1960 helped develop a motorcycle suited for use in the Vietnam war.

Louisiana Bill Updates Maximum Handlebar Height Legislation

Thu, 17 May 2012

Louisiana state lawmakers have approved a bill that would change the maximum height of motorcycle handlebars. Current state law restricts handlebar height to no more than 15 inches above the seat, a somewhat arbitrary level, but a common choice with 17 other states. The House has voted 87-0 in favor of Senate Bill 582 to change the maximum height to the rider’s shoulder level, as measured while sitting on the seat.
